When I came to HKG 5 years ago, I did not like KTV/Karaoke at all.
Whenever my friends asked me “Nobu, tonight we are going to KTV, would you like to join?”, I always answered “I am sorry, I have already an appointment.” But this was an excuse.
I still do not like to go to KTV, but I often go with friends, because it is a lot of fun.
Although I cannot sing very well, my friends do not mind.
When I am singing Chinese songs, they support me or singing together with me.
Most of my friends sing very well. They are singing and dancing.
Watching them having fun, is fun as well. I like the atmosphere.
We are all happy.
From my point of view, THIS is most important thing!

Breakfast to go

Sometimes in the morning I am in the hurry and do not have enough time to have a breakfast at home. At those days I just grab a fruit or bread with cheese, start eating on the way to office.
It seems there are a lot of people like me facing the same issue: having breakfast on the way to office.

While it’s quite normal scene to see a lady eating a bun on the bus, sometimes I see young man in the bus holding in one hand a coke, and in the other hand a burger. It looks not very convenient. Today I saw a lady with high heels eating a noodle soup on the escalator. I was so amazed by her as she starts eating once she was on the first step of the escalator and finishes the bowl once she arrived. The total escalator ride is not longer than 40 seconds. So it is really amazing! No noodle has been left in soup! WOW!

Tadaima! and flu season

“Tadaima!” is a Japanese phrase. It cannot be translated into English as there is not such an expression. Usually it is said, when a family member comes home and just entered the floor and takes off his/her shoes, so other family members know that this family member just come back home. I think it is a good habit.

With this in my mind: “Tadaima! dear friends and blog readers!”
I did not blog for a while m(T_T)m, but now I am back.

Since 5 weeks I am suffering from a flu and infection in my ears, however,  I will try to catch up my blog entries. Actually I have so many stories I would like to tell, to share with you!

In order to prevent spreading my virus, I am wearing a mask in office.  My colleague and me always “share” the virus. This is the first time we both are sick and wearing a mask together. Recently in our office a lot of colleague are wearing mask. It’s flu season in Hong Kong. T___T

Here in HKG it is normal to wear mask. I guess if I do it in Germany, people would look at me strange. I am pretty sure.

It is very important to have a good rest (I even take nap at lunch time!) and eating healthy food. As I cannot taste and smell, eating is not great pleasure for me at the moment. Therefore these days I  often eat at home or having homemade lunch boxes, as I can imagine how yummy it could be. If I think in this way, I started to be hungry a little bit. This is a good sign, isnt’ it?

Dear friends and blog readers, please take good care of yourself !
